Principal IC SoC Integration and Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the ASIC Product Division to lead SoC architecture and IP integration for AI and storage system-on-chip (SoC) programs. The role drives integration, verification, and validation across design, layout, and DFT teams to deliver production-quality SoCs.

Responsibilities
The core responsibilities focus on SoC architecture, IP integration, verification, and cross-functional delivery.
- Define overall SoC architecture and integrate IP blocks.
- Perform detailed design analysis using advanced tools to ensure design quality.
- Lead and coordinate extended teams supporting simulation, synthesis, formal verification, constraint definition, and design validation.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet customer requirements and enable successful system delivery.
- Consult with layout and DFT engineers to optimize area, performance, and yield.
- Produce design collateral required for SoC release, including specifications.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and hiring requirements.
- Experience with SoC architecture including AMBA interconnect, multiple processors, and diverse I/O (UART to DRAM and multi-lane high-speed SERDES).
- Demonstrated expertise in HDL languages: Verilog/VHDL and SystemVerilog.
- Strong understanding of physical implementation and timing closure under process variation.
- Ability to analyze complex trade-offs and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; familiarity with cloud-based documentation workflows.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no company-sponsored immigration support available).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (EE, CE, or CS preferred) with 12+ years of related experience; OR Master's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of related experience. (Education and years-of-experience are stated as the hiring criteria in the posting.)
