Principal HW System Architect (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Define and validate system-level architectures for connectivity SoCs, translating customer and standards requirements into detailed target specifications. Work with marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver low-power, compact, cost-effective SoC solutions for the Division's connectivity product line.
The role includes architectural planning, feasibility assessment, performance evaluation, IP selection, and production documentation to guide IC development from concept to production.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include system architecture definition, feasibility studies, and documentation.
- Translate customer and standards requirements into SoC architectures and detailed target specifications.
- Define low-power, small-footprint, cost-optimized architectural plans for connectivity SoCs.
- Derive new concepts and IP blocks; evaluate and select external IP and manage vendor relationships.
- Drive feasibility assessments and platform-level trade-offs for new product platforms.
- Perform performance evaluation and simulation of SoC architectures (e.g., bus and cache analysis).
- Produce technical documentation: objective specifications, datasheets, verification plans, production test plans.
- Monitor technology and market trends and perform competitive analysis.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional capabilities.
- Detailed technical experience in system definition and concept engineering within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong background in digital design and solid experience as a system architect.
- Good understanding of IC design flow and manufacturing considerations.
- System-level knowledge of low-power wireless systems and protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi).
- Solid understanding of embedded system-on-chip architectures and embedded software architectures.
- Ability to analyze complex, ambiguous client requirements and define practical technical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills, good communication, and proven teamwork abilities; fluent in English.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with microcontrollers, DSP, RF and analog mixed-signal content.
- Experience in IP/vendor evaluation and selection.
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc in Electronics, Electrical Engineering (BSc. EE, MSc. EE) or a closely related field.
