Role Summary

The Principal GenAI Software Development Engineer role involves building and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) for automated Silicon design and Design Verification (DV). The position focuses on developing LLM-based EDA workflows that aid Design Engineers in producing high-quality Micron products efficiently.

Experience Level

Senior; 2+ years of experience with transformer models and 3+ years with Python required.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Developing LLM applications for automating electronics design and verification.
  • Optimizing LLMs for corner case uncovering, design optimization and spec-to-design translation.
  • Implementing RL-based retraining and prompting to achieve desired outcomes from LLMs.
  • Curation and maintenance of datasets for LLM training and evaluation.
  • Benchmarking LLM efficiency and proposing improvements.
  • Collaborating with Silicon authorities to integrate LLMs into EDA workflows.
  • Contributing to standard methodologies for LLM development and deployment.

Requirements

Qualifications include:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with transformer models.
  • 3+ years of programming experience in Python.

Education Requirements

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
