Principal Engineer, Architecture/Chip Leader

The role involves leading the SOC and MCU architecture team to define system architecture and technical specifications based on business and product requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with various cross-functional teams to drive the end-to-end development of high-performance SOCs and ensure first-time-right tape-out.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the SOC/MCU architecture team to define system architecture and technical specifications.
- Driving end-to-end development ensuring high-quality and timely tape-out.
- Collaborating with product marketing, program management, software, and manufacturing teams.
- Making key technical decisions regarding IP selection and strategy.
- Managing and mentoring R&D teams, assessing capabilities, and contributing to product and architecture planning.
- Improving development processes to enhance quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Engaging with external stakeholders and promoting knowledge sharing in the organization.
Requirements
The following qualifications are necessary:
- Strong background in system and architecture-level design.
- Experience leading full product development cycles.
- Solid understanding of advanced technology nodes and hands-on tapeout experience.
- Experience in NPI development with leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Fluency in Japanese in a professional setting.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.
