Job Title
Principal Design Verification Quality Engineer
Role Summary
Lead technical verification strategy and governance for DRAM verification quality, standardization, and traceability across product families. Drive scalable verification systems, intelligent workflows, and methodology adoption to reduce defects and accelerate delivery.
Ideal for an engineer who creates verification frameworks, applies automation and AI to improve productivity, and influences cross-team verification practices.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires 10+ years of experience in DRAM verification, validation, or product engineering.
Responsibilities
Responsible for defining and scaling DRAM verification methodology, closing silicon-learning loops, and improving verification efficiency and traceability.
- Define and maintain verification methodology, quality standards, and AI-enabled strategies to improve coverage, traceability, and defect prevention.
- Lead closed-loop silicon learning: identify verification gaps, incorporate lessons into requirements and methodologies, and reduce recurring silicon issues.
- Own and improve the requirements framework (JAMA) to ensure alignment and scalability across projects.
- Simplify and optimize verification workflows using automation, AI, and process improvements to reduce cycle time and accelerate debug.
- Partner with engineering teams to align methodology decisions and scale verification approaches across projects and pillars.
- Invent and pilot next-generation RTL-focused and family-based verification workflows.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 10+ years of DRAM verification, validation, or product engineering experience.
- Expertise in digital and analog verification methodologies, testbench development, stimulus generation, and debug.
- Solid understanding of VLSI fundamentals, semiconductor devices, and DRAM architecture.
- Experience with Linux and EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso).
- Proficiency with scripting or programming for verification automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, Tcl, or similar).
- Experience applying AI/ML/LLM tools to improve engineering productivity.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; experience influencing cross-team practices.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on development of analog and digital verification testbenches using SystemVerilog, UVM, SpectreFx, PrimeSim, or similar tools.
- Experience with requirements management and tracking systems (JAMA, JIRA) and structured documentation workflows.
- Demonstrated track record of mentoring and developing less experienced engineers.
- Experience establishing scalable verification methods across projects or teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field required. The posting does not reference a master's, PhD, specific certifications, or explicit "equivalent experience" language.
