Role Summary
Qorvo is seeking a Principal Design Engineer specializing in RF modules. The role involves technical ownership of RF module design and development projects from inception to production release, primarily supporting Cellular Base Station, GPS, Radar, Satellite, CATV, and other related applications.

Responsibilities
- Technical ownership of RF module design and development projects from inception to production release, ensuring adherence to technical performance, schedule, and cost goals for New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Perform circuit-level design of RF sub-systems, including EM simulations, impedance matching circuits, and chain analysis to ensure first pass success of designs.
- Support the preparation of technical proposals to customers and ensure key project milestones are met in collaboration with project managers.
- Prepare and own internal documentation related to design and communicate findings in various technical and project reviews to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with test engineering teams to characterize prototypes and product samples and lead design optimization efforts focused on performance, yield, reliability, and cost.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a strong technical foundation and experience in RF design:
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with a focus on RF Design/Electromagnetics.
- 10+ years of RF module design experience required.
- Solid understanding of RF and microwave module design, circuit and electromagnetics level simulations, and knowledge of RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, HFSS, AWR.
- Strong theoretical understanding and hands-on experience with impedance matching techniques and RF test techniques for noise, s-parameters, linearity.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across diverse engineering and management teams.
