Principal Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Principal Design Engineer will be responsible for contributing to AMS design for High-speed Memory PHYs, focusing on major subsystems like Tx, Rx, or Clocking. The role involves technical discussions with cross-functional teams to ensure high design quality and schedule adherence.

Experience Level

Senior level with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Analog Mixed Signal design.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to AMS design for High-speed Memory PHYs.
• Defining design micro-architecture and hierarchy based on system specifications.
• Participating in technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Ensuring AMS design quality and schedule compliance.
• Identifying risks and formulating mitigation plans for subsystems.
• Mentaloring team members and providing technical guidance.
• Contributing to improvements in AMS methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (specialization in VLSI/Micro-electronics preferred).
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Analog Mixed Signal design.
• Strong knowledge of AMS design techniques and circuit architecture.
• Experience with high-speed circuits such as Tx, Rx, CTLE, and Amplifiers.
• Exposure to Serdes, DDR, and HBM technologies.
• Proficiency in Mixed Signal IP design and familiarity with AMS verification.
• Hands-on experience at block, IP, and system level design.
• Experience in designing multiple IPs from Specification to Productization.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, specializing in VLSI/Micro-electronics is preferred.
