Principal ASIC Digital Design Engineer — HPC IP

Lead design and verification of complex ASIC digital blocks and subsystems for high-performance interface IP. Work on RTL, collaborate with analog, physical design, and applications teams to deliver high-performance, power- and area-efficient ASICs. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead RTL design and verification of complex ASIC blocks and systems to meet specifications and performance targets.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans; verify functionality, performance, and power goals.
• Use industry EDA tools and advanced methodologies to optimize design performance and power efficiency.
• Collaborate with analog design, physical design, applications engineering, and other cross-functional teams for integration.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers; provide technical leadership on design and verification approaches.
• Communicate technical status, trade-offs, and design decisions to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Extensive ASIC digital design and verification experience with strong RTL design skills.
• Must-have: Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools and verification methodologies.
• Must-have: Deep understanding of high-performance interface IP protocols (e.g., Ethernet, UAL, PCIe, DDR) and their implementation in ASIC designs.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication.
• Nice-to-have: Experience leading complex RTL projects, power/performance optimization, and prior mentoring of engineering teams.
