Responsibilities
The Principal Architect will:
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of FPGA architecture evaluation and analysis engineers.
- Define and execute a strategy for RTL-based FPGA architecture evaluation, using realistic workloads and design patterns.
- Implement, synthesize, place-and-route, and analyze complex FPGA designs across multiple architectures and process generations.
- Evaluate architectural tradeoffs related to logic, routing, memory, DSP, and interconnect structures.
- Provide clear, data-driven feedback to FPGA architecture teams regarding hardware feature definition and optimization.
- Correlate architectural hypotheses with RTL results, post-P&R data, and silicon measurements.
- Drive design-space exploration using RTL and FPGA tools.
- Partner with EDA, software, and silicon teams to translate architectural intent into results.
- Represent the evaluation team in architectural reviews and cross-functional forums.
Requirements

- Strong background in FPGA architecture design and evaluation.
- Experience with RTL design and implementation.
- Familiarity with EDA tools and FPGA workflows.
- Proficient in analyzing complex design tradeoffs and presenting findings.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.
- Previous work in hardware feature definition and optimization.
