Principal Application Engineer - Verification

Role Summary

This role involves working closely with the Sales team to scope opportunities for Cadence Verification Division’s products. The engineer will plan, execute, and manage technical evaluations and benchmarks with customers, provide training, and respond to clients’ technical queries.

Experience Level

Senior-level position requiring a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

• Identifying and scoping opportunities for the Cadence Verification Division’s products.
• Planning and managing key technical evaluations and benchmarks.
• Training and supporting customer projects.
• Conducting trainings, presentations, and demos as needed.
• Providing technical expertise for client queries.
• Collaborating with corporate engineering and sales/marketing teams on product direction and improvements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Verification/Prototyping and consumer application design/debugging by EDA solution.
• Hands-on experience with SOC Emulation/Acceleration, UVM, Verification IPs, or Transactors is a plus.
• Familiarity with simulators (IES, VCS, etc.) and experience with emulators/accelerators (PXP, Zebu, Veloce).
• Knowledge of Linux and TCL.
• Good program/engagement management skills.
• Effective team player with good communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work in a global environment.
• Current passport with no travel limitations.

Education Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
