Role Summary
The Principal Application Engineer - Digital Implementation plays a critical role in providing technical support for digital IC design implementation. This position involves demonstrating expertise in the RTL-to-GDSII design methodology across both low power and high-performance designs.
Experience Level
Candidates should possess experience in full-spectrum digital design implementation at a multinational IC design house, particularly utilizing Cadence tools such as EDI/Innovus. Familiarity with ML/AI frameworks is advantageous.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
- Delivering key technical support for digital IC design products during demonstrations and sales presentations.
- Applying hands-on experience in RTL-to-GDSII design, covering aspects like floorplanning, partitioning, placement, CTS, routing, and STA timing closure.
- Executing physical verification, RC extraction, and power network analysis.
- Assisting in the evaluation and delivery of concurrent mixed-signal design projects.
Requirements
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Strong understanding of technical issues related to design products and their applications.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, along with effective communication and soft skills.
- A Master's degree and professional experience in IC design, specifically with Cadence tools.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Tcl, or Python.
- Fluency in English with a positive work attitude.
Education Requirements
A Master's degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred, alongside practical experience in digital IC design.
