Role Summary

The Principal Application Engineer will work within the India Field Organization for the Digital and Signoff Group, partnering closely with semiconductor customers to develop innovative methodologies for cutting-edge designs. This role involves understanding customer challenges, optimizing methodologies, and collaborating with product teams to influence product direction.

Experience Level

Senior; requires 10+ years of experience in Digital Implementation flow on advanced nodes.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Drive RTL-to-GDSII metrics on complex designs independently.
• Engage in methodology discussions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales to drive account strategies and campaigns.
• Promote and drive the adoption of new technology among customers.
• Provide innovative solutions to customer problems using tool capabilities or scripting.
• Implement ML-based solutions to enhance productivity and PPA.
• Identify and resolve complex tool issues for R&D.
• Collaborate with worldwide AE teams and mentor junior members.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

• BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronics.
• 10+ years of experience in Digital Implementation Flow.
• Expertise in Synthesis/PnR/STA/EMIR.
• Knowledge of scripting languages & Flow development is highly desirable.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Able to build relationships with customers and work collaboratively across functions.

Education Requirements

BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronics is required.
