Principal Analog Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead development of analog and reliability verification methodologies for next-generation DRAM products. The role focuses on building scalable verification solutions, improving coverage and efficiency, and reducing silicon failures through automation, AI-enabled techniques, and close collaboration with design teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring within a multicultural verification team and drive methodological improvements across memory generations.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years of relevant design and verification engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification strategy, tool development, and cross-team alignment to deliver high-quality silicon.
- Define and drive DRAM analog verification strategy, including AI-enabled methodologies to improve efficiency and close silicon failure gaps.
- Partner with design teams to standardize and continuously improve verification methodologies across projects and generations.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve Python-based analog and reliability verification test benches, tools, and flows for robust, scalable execution.
- Provide technical leadership: set priorities, mentor engineers, and drive innovation for future DRAM technologies.
- Leverage and apply AI/LLM techniques to improve verification efficiency and impact.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role; preferred items listed separately.
Must-have:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in design and verification engineering.
- Hands-on experience with gate-level analog simulation and waveform-based debug environments.
- Strong knowledge of VLSI circuit design fundamentals.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, including object-oriented design and use of advanced libraries.
- Focused experience and proficiency with LLMs and agentic AI tools applied to engineering workflows.
Nice-to-have / Preferred:
- Knowledge of DRAM circuit design and system architecture.
- Familiarity with reliability fundamentals and common degradation/failure mechanisms (e.g., BTI, HCI, EM, TDDB).
- Experience leading technical projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with digital verification methodologies (e.g., SystemVerilog, UVM) and multithreaded system design.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
