Job Title

Principal Analog Methodology Specialist, AI Enthusiast

Role Summary

Lead analog and mixed-signal methodology for application-optimized IP (AOIP). Coordinate methodology adoption across product teams, engineering domains, foundries, and customers to close workflow gaps between circuit, layout, timing, silicon, and lab validation.

Drive prioritization and execution of methodology work, prototype automation and AI-enabled flows, and represent methodology decisions to internal stakeholders and customers.

Experience Level

Senior. Experience guidance: 18–25 years IC design experience with a BSEE, or 15–18 years with an MSEE or PhD (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include ownership, coordination, and execution of analog and adjacent-domain methodologies.

  • Own methodology areas for analog and adjacent domains (circuit-to-layout, circuit-to-timing, silicon-to-lab correlation, SI/PI integration).
  • Serve as the focal point for customer-driven methodology requirements and integration challenges.
  • Prioritize work, drive adoption, engage stakeholders, and ensure execution across product teams and foundries.
  • Prototype and deploy scripting, automation, and AI techniques to streamline analog workflows.
  • Translate methodology strategy into practical methods, procedures, and escalation paths; review and approve others' work as needed.
  • Represent methodology decisions to customers, product teams, and executive leadership when required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional capabilities.

  • Extensive experience in analog and mixed-signal methodology covering circuit-to-layout, circuit-to-timing, silicon-to-lab correlation, and SI/PI integration.
  • Deep knowledge of transistor-level design, CMOS fundamentals, reliability effects, and SPICE simulation to assess methodology applicability.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation to prototype flows and integrate tools.
  • Experience applying AI/ML techniques to analog circuit optimization or flow automation.
  • Proven ability to turn customer methodology requirements into integration solutions and to work directly with customers and foundries.
  • Strong technical leadership, independent judgment, and stakeholder influence across ambiguous or cross-functional situations.
  • Experience with silicon IP release requirements and production-oriented methodology deployment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field is stated. An MSEE or PhD is preferred. The posting links degree level to experience expectations (18–25 years with a BSEE; 15–18 years with an MSEE or PhD). No specific certifications were listed.
