Principal Analog IC Layout Engineer
Role Summary
Senior technical contributor in the Central Layout Group supporting Power & Energy Business Line with a focus on Automotive Power Solutions (APS). Responsible for leading physical implementation of complex mixed-signal and power-management ICs and improving layout methodology and execution across multiple programs.

Responsibilities
Execute and lead physical implementation activities, drive methodology improvements, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver tape-out ready designs.
- Lead layout execution for complex mixed-signal and power-management products.
- Define and drive floorplanning strategies from concept through tape-out.
- Serve as technical reference for layout methodologies, flows and best practices.
- Support critical technical decisions affecting product quality and project timelines.
- Drive top-level layout developments and ensure compliance with design methodologies and tape-out requirements.
- Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation plans.
- Contribute to layout productivity, methodology, automation and tool enhancements.
- Promote reuse and standardization across projects and technologies.
- Collaborate with Design, Verification, Package, Test, Product Engineering, Reliability and Technology teams; mentor layout engineers.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required for immediate contribution.
Must-have:
- Extensive experience in analog IC layout development and leading top-level layout activities.
- Expert knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre and physical verification flows.
- Strong expertise in mixed-signal, BCD and High Voltage technologies.
- Deep understanding of layout quality, reliability and manufacturability.
- Proven ability to execute on complex projects and meet tape-out requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent English.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with automotive semiconductor products and international R&D organizations.
- Experience with layout automation and scripting (SKILL, Python, TCL).
- Multi-technology experience and experience driving methodology improvements across organizations.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or Microelectronics.
