The Principal Analog Design Engineer will be recognized as an expert in analog design and will have substantial impact on development and business outcomes by providing analog expertise across various projects/programs. This role entails building design flows and methodologies for current and future technologies, contributing to design innovation, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
Experience Level
Senior level with 10+ years of experience in analog design.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include:
- Designing, laying out, verifying, and characterizing high-speed transceiver elements like TIAs, limiting amplifiers, I/Os, and equalizers at data rates of 10Gb/s and above.
- Actively participating in design reviews, product definition, proposing technical solutions, and writing design specifications.
- Managing time effectively to complete projects independently under supervision.
Requirements
Necessary qualifications include:
- 10+ years of experience in high-speed CMOS SerDes design and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. is a plus).
- Experience in designing with advanced CMOS technologies (7nm or below) and RF circuits operating at frequencies of 5GHz or above.
- Proficiency with Cadence design environment and mixed-signal simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of high-speed layout considerations.
- Good communication and presentation skills; ability to work hands-on at all levels of design.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as USB, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.
Education Requirements
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is a plus.
