Job Title

Principal Analog Application Engineer for Custom / Electromagnetic Flows

Role Summary

Provide technical application-engineering support for customers designing heterogeneously integrated solutions β€” primarily RFIC, RF module, and multichip module design flows. Drive adoption of Cadence custom and electromagnetic/thermal analysis solutions and coordinate across Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver customer-focused workflows.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 5 years of practical experience with Cadence custom schematic and layout tools and experience engaging directly with customers in technical consulting or applications roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer consulting, technical enablement, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Consult with customers to capture flow requirements for heterogeneous integration, RFICs, RF modules, and multichip modules.
  • Help customers adopt electromagnetic and thermal analysis workflows and Cadence systems solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, training, demonstrations, and customized materials.
  • Support technical evaluations, benchmarks, and proofs-of-concept.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management to identify and prioritize opportunities and shape sales strategies.
  • Work with Cadence Engineering and Marketing to communicate requirements and drive issue resolution.

Requirements

Must-have and desirable skills for successful performance in this role.

  • Minimum 5 years practical experience with Cadence custom schematic and layout tools.
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetic solvers and analog simulation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, organization, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Nice to have: CAD experience in setting up Cadence tools; experience with parasitic extraction flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
