Power System Marketing and Architecture
Role Summary
Lead system-level marketing and architecture activities for Renesas Power Product Group (POWER PG) focused on Data Infrastructure and related market segments. The role partners with Product Lines, Sales, and Business Divisions to define system architecture direction, roadmap input, and go-to-market guidance.
Position is ideally based in San Jose, CA, supporting OEM and hyperscaler ecosystems and regional ODM engagement (Taiwan scope secondary).
Experience Level
Mid-level β candidate should have approximately 5β8 years of relevant industry experience in power semiconductor product marketing, system design, or system architecture.
Responsibilities
Drive system marketing and architecture activities across the POWER portfolio; act as technical-business consultant to sales and product teams.
- Define strategic system architecture projects and contribute to product roadmaps and NPI requirements.
- Provide market analysis, total addressable market (SAM) insight, and customer/end-product analysis for power segments.
- Benchmark competitor portfolios and identify product/roadmap gaps.
- Create system-level collateral: block diagrams, simulations, reference designs and demos (coordinate third-party IDHs and internal labs).
- Support sales and business divisions with application cluster expertise and opportunity reviews.
- Generate regular reporting on progress versus targets by market segment and region.
- Develop marketing content: newsletters, campaign materials, conference and event content (e.g., APEC, PCIM).
Requirements
Must-have technical and business skills to execute system marketing and architecture activities for power products.
- 5β8 years experience in power semiconductor roles such as technical marketing, product definition, system design, or architecture.
- Deep knowledge of power management ICs and converters: AC/DC, DC/DC, battery management, and Si/WBG technologies.
- Experience producing system block diagrams and mapping power components to full-application designs.
- Ability to perform market and competitive analysis and translate findings into roadmap recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; proven ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Self-driven, business-oriented, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; MBA is a plus. (No other degree or certification requirements specified.)
