Post Silicon Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Join the post-silicon validation team responsible for validating high-speed transceiver ASICs for coherent optical communications in Marvell’s Coherent DSP Business Unit. The team builds software validation platforms, performs hardware and firmware post-silicon validation, develops customer-facing interfaces, and provides technical support to internal teams and customers.
This role focuses on lab validation, automation, and firmware/hardware integration verification for optical-transceiver products.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include laboratory validation, automation, simulation, and documentation tasks to verify hardware, firmware, and software integration.
- Develop Python scripts to automate simulations and lab measurements; control hardware evaluation platforms and electrical/optical test equipment.
- Plan and execute hardware validation test plans in an optical-systems laboratory.
- Design and implement automated regression tests in Python to validate firmware in realistic applications.
- Develop Application Programming Interface components in C and C++ for customer use.
- Create and run SystemVerilog simulations using UVM components.
- Write clear technical documentation in English for internal and external audiences.
- Analyze compatibility between firmware and hardware components against relevant standards.
- Provide technical support to Marketing, Applications, and customers as required.
Requirements

Must-have: Proven programming experience in C, C++, and/or Python.
- Experience with lab automation or controlling electrical/optical test equipment.
- Experience in firmware validation, hardware bring-up, or post-silicon validation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective English proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work under pressure.

Nice-to-have: Embedded software development experience; optics experience; SystemVerilog/UVM simulation experience.
- May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; applicants may be subject to export license review prior to employment.
Education Requirements
Engineering degree in electronics, computer (computer engineering/computer science), or telecommunications fields.
