Post-Silicon Staff Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Power Product group's Automotive System Power team to perform post-silicon validation and characterization of Intelligent Power Devices (IPDs) and High-Side Switches (HSS) for automotive and industrial applications. The role supports product development by developing validation plans, building and maintaining test benches, executing electrical validation, correlating results with production test equipment, and documenting findings.
This position works cross-functionally with design, system, and test teams to ensure products meet specifications and to support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires 3+ years of post-silicon validation experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on planning and executing silicon validation, developing test infrastructure, and reporting results.
- Develop and execute validation plans based on product specifications; track validation progress.
- Design, build, and maintain mechanical and electrical test benches and custom hardware; oversee fabrication and checkout.
- Develop automated IC characterization programs and test scripts.
- Perform electrical validation and characterization of mixed-signal ICs and building blocks; summarize results and produce validation reports.
- Perform correlation measurements between laboratory equipment and automated production test equipment (ATE).
- Support root cause analysis for functional or parametric failures and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Provide regular status updates and clear communication of any technical or schedule risks.
