PNR Applications Engineer, Staff

Role Summary

The PNR Applications Engineer, Staff at Synopsys plays a critical role in supporting the sales and adoption of Synopsys products, helping customers achieve improvements in performance, cost, and development time for high-performance silicon chip projects.

Experience Level

Senior, preferably with 5+ years of experience for MSEE holders or 7+ years for BSEE holders.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Support the sale and adoption of Synopsys products.
• Aid customers in achieving performance improvements.
• Utilize ASIC design experience and industry-standard tools.
• Facilitate the development process for advanced silicon chips.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

• ASIC design implementation experience with industry-standard tools (Placement, Optimization, CTS, Routing).
• Experience or knowledge in RTL to GDSII full flow.
• Familiarity with advanced node and design methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Synopsys backend tools, including Static Timing Analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize customer issues effectively.

Nice-to-have skills include:

• Experience with Clock Tree Synthesis methodologies.
• Knowledge of front end synthesis and STA tools.

Education Requirements

BSEE or equivalent required; MSEE or equivalent preferred.
