Platform Validation Intern
Role Summary
Join the Validation, Integration and Debug Engineering team to support platform validation for telecommunications products. The role focuses on hardware and OS platform setup, executing and automating test cases, root-cause triage, and improving validation processes alongside experienced engineers.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Suitable for early-career candidates or students seeking hands-on validation and automation experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Set up platforms including hardware assembly and operating system deployment.
- Execute test cases and record and report results.
- Perform triage and root-cause analysis for failures and issues.
- Improve test execution cycles by scripting manual test cases.
- Automate test plans using orchestration tools.
- Follow established engineering processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and document results and findings.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and conditions:
- Minimum ~6 months practical experience with scripting languages such as Python (object-oriented programming).
- Minimum ~6 months experience using Linux (any distribution).
- Minimum ~6 months experience assembling computers and updating firmware/software.
- Minimum ~6 months experience with system or platform validation activities.
- Advanced level of English.
- Unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (role not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).
Preferred: familiarity with version control systems (GitHub, SVN, GitLab) and experience with automation/orchestration tools such as Jenkins and Airflow.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (at least one year remaining) is required. Preferred: Master's degree in the same or related fields. The posting notes requirements may be met through a mix of coursework, internships, or relevant job experience.
