Physical Design Layout Engineer ICE
Role Summary
Perform physical design integration for custom GPU blocks (Gfx, Media, SoC), focusing on layout verification, milestone reviews, and cross-domain coordination to ensure high-quality tape-in results.
This role sits within the Data Center Group (DCG) and contributes to the delivery of high-performance GPU solutions by enabling correct-by-construction implementations and timely fixes.
Experience Level
Entry-level; typically 0–1 years of hands-on experience. Suitable for recent graduates with internship or project experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include verification, reviews, and coordination across layout and system domains.
- Perform physical design integration for GPU blocks, including Gfx, Media, and SoC.
- Conduct layout verification and design rule checks at key milestones.
- Review designs and provide timely, detailed feedback to Floorplan, RDL, PDN, and Clock teams.
- Ensure tape-in quality through timely fixes and correct-by-construction practices.
- Collaborate with cross-domain teams to meet design goals and project timelines.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proficiency with physical design tools and methodologies, including layout verification and DRC.
- Practical understanding of floorplan, RDL, PDN, and clocking techniques.
- Ability to perform milestone reviews and provide clear technical feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on technical accuracy.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field with 0–1 years of hands-on experience (including internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training), OR a Master's degree in a relevant technical field with no prior professional experience.
