Physical Design Engineer (Layout Engineer)

Role Summary

The Physical Design Engineer will design analog/mixed-signal layouts for high-end electronic devices. The role involves collaboration with design engineers, improving layout methodologies, and troubleshooting design issues within a team focused on power management ICs (PMICs).

Experience Level

Senior level, with at least 6 years of relevant experience in the field.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing analog and mixed-signal layouts, ensuring performance and quality meet project specifications.
  • Collaborating closely with design engineers to optimize circuit performance.
  • Improving layout methodologies within the team.
  • Troubleshooting issues and driving development initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Good knowledge of semiconductor physics and advanced layout techniques.
  • Excellent command of Cadence Virtuoso Suite and Calibre verification tools.
  • Familiarity with best-known layout practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in the field.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

  • Good knowledge of the Linux environment and programming (Cadence SKILL, C++, Python).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements
