Role Summary

The position involves design verification of complex Qualcomm proprietary DSP/NPU IP. The DSP team delivers high-performance cores that are integral to Qualcomm's multi-tier SoC roadmap for mobile, AI, and automotive applications.

Experience Level

Senior-level; requires 12+ years of experience in design verification.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive design verification of DSP IP with a global design team.
  • Implement System Verilog/UVM testbench architecture.
  • Develop new verification methodologies and automation.
  • Create and execute verification plans, ensuring coverage goals are met.
  • Conduct simulations and debug at various levels (IP, subsystem, SoC).
  • Perform gate level simulation and verification including power-aware aspects.

Requirements

Must-have skills include:

  • 12+ years in processor/ASIC design verification.
  • Strong background in Digital Design and Processor Architecture.
  • Expertise in System Verilog Testbench architecture.
  • Scripting experience in Perl, Python, or Shell.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.

Nice-to-haves include:

  • Experience with formal verification techniques.
  • Knowledge of power-aware implementation and verification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field; or a Master's degree with relevant experience; or a PhD with work experience in hardware engineering.
