Job Title

NPI/NTI Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work with production, design, test engineering and product engineering stakeholders to release new products at test sites. Lead test program and hardware development for new production to meet schedule, cost and quality targets.

Plan and drive improvements in test methodology, coverage, cost and yield.

Experience Level

Mid-level — role expects substantial hands-on test program development and leadership experience; no specific years of experience listed.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

• Develop test programs and test hardware for new products.
• Support product qualification, characterization and ATE release (temperature characterization, correlation, R&R/MSC).
• Drive test improvements: reduce cost, increase coverage, improve yield, and perform failure analysis.
• Manage changes to test programs and hardware using a structured process (e.g. Enovia).
• Support fab/assembly/test center transfers, new product introduction and volume ramp-up.
• Plan and manage product requirements to meet quality, delivery and cost targets.

Requirements

Must-haves and key skills:

• Proven experience in test program development on multiple tester platforms.
• Proficiency with scripting/programming (Java, VBT, C++).
• Strong analytical skills and experience in test hardware/software development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Willingness and ability to work with international teams and travel overseas as required.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Teradyne (J750) and Advantest (V93K) testers.
• Experience with version control systems (SVN, CollabNet).
• Experience leading new-product test development, subcontractor management, or semiconductor test gross-margin improvement.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
