Non-Volatile Memory Reliability Engineer

Role Summary

The NVM Reliability team characterizes, models, and enables next-generation non-volatile memory technologies and designs to support product development across the company. This role focuses on reliability characterization, qualification, statistical analysis, and production support for NVM technologies.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 2–5 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Interface with foundries and external IP suppliers to assess reliability margin for product applications.
• Establish qualification requirements for new technology and product introduction.
• Design and execute reliability characterization experiments; collect and manage test data.
• Perform rigorous statistical analysis of reliability characterization data to determine lifetime, failure modes, and margins.
• Work with product teams to identify and mitigate reliability risks during volume production.
• Respond to customer technical inquiries with characterization results, risk assessments, and consultation.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Practical experience with data processing and analysis tools such as Python, JMP, MATLAB, or Exensio.
• Strong interest in statistics and solid-state device fundamentals as applied to non-volatile memory technologies.
• Experience with reliability characterization methods, data-driven analysis, and communicating technical findings.
• Curious, proactive, detail-oriented, and effective at problem solving.
• Able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to collaborate with external partners (foundries, IP suppliers) and internal product groups.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent; or equivalent practical industry experience.
