Role Summary
This position involves collaborating with global design and verification teams to optimize manufacturing performance, cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction. The engineer will be part of Micron’s Boise, Idaho design community and will support a hybrid work model.
Experience Level
Entry-level, suitable for recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Completing circuit simulations using industry tools such as SPICE and Verilog.
- Supporting verification and development of schematic blocks including memory array, control logic, address decode, data path, and internal test logic.
- Importing layout parasitic information and providing layout-extracted netlists for required circuits.
- Interpreting device specifications to produce die-level circuit verification patterns and contributing to test chip definition and silicon validation planning.
- Collaborating in verification planning, developing verification-compatible schematics, and assisting in best-known verification practices and documentation.
Requirements
The following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Basic understanding of memory applications and CMOS fundamentals.
- Experience with circuit simulation setup, analysis, and debug.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with memory circuit design and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with RTL, STA (Static Timing Analysis), Python, and HSPICE.
- Exposure to silicon validation or test chip bring-up activities.
- Demonstrated motivation to grow technical breadth and depth.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
