Job Title

Network and System Verification Engineer, E2E

Role Summary

Join the End-to-End (E2E) Verification team to define and test Ethernet and InfiniBand NIC and switch features and topologies for NVIDIA's cloud and AI networking products.

Main mission: design and build test topologies that emulate large-scale customer environments, implement and execute end-to-end test scenarios (regression, performance, functional, scale), and drive reproduction, debug, and verification cycles for customer use cases.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” approximately 2+ years of relevant practical experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on test design, execution, and reporting across the NIC and switch portfolio.

  • Contribute to design reviews and product feature requirements across Ethernet/InfiniBand NICs, switches, and AI network solutions.
  • Design and build test topologies that emulate large-scale/complex customer environments for appropriate product coverage.
  • Define test requirements for automation teams and implement tests for new features in the network switch and adapter stack.
  • Prepare and deploy proof-of-concept (POC) activities to evaluate new field requirements and innovations.
  • Generate comprehensive test reports during release cycles; assist with reproduction and debugging of complex customer use cases and determine root causes.
  • Act as engineering point-of-contact for full verification cycles of customer-use-case fixes provided by R&D.
  • Execute end-to-end test scenarios across regression, performance, functional, and scale scopes and report progress and summaries of testing activity.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Approximately 2+ years of practical experience in relevant roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based platforms.
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
  • Independent, responsible worker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to plan and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, Hyper-V, VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with congestion control/DCQCN, switch internals, and collective communication frameworks (NCCL, MPI).
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for test automation and tooling.

Education Requirements

B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is stated as preferred, or equivalent practical experience as an IT/Network Engineer.
