Job Title

Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and develop mixed-signal integrated circuits (RF, analog, power, interface logic and sensor interfaces) for deep-submicron IC nodes. Work with cross-functional teams to simulate, validate, and bring RF/transmitter and receiver subsystems to silicon.

Contribute to communications products used in public-safety and enterprise radio systems.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 3–7 years of relevant experience (per the education + experience guidelines).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and iterate circuit designs for RF, analog, power, interface logic, sensors, and other peripherals in deep-submicron process nodes.
  • Perform RF system design calculations for receivers (noise figure, intermodulation) and transmitters (PA technologies, modes of operation, harmonic suppression).
  • Simulate and verify designs using schematic and layout tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, ADS Momentum, and CST.
  • Develop and execute lab test plans; use RF test equipment for measurements and debugging.
  • Collaborate with layout, test, firmware and system teams to validate designs through to production silicon.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Practical experience designing RF, analog, and power circuits for integrated circuits in deep-submicron nodes.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and RF simulation tools (ADS Momentum, CST).
  • Hands-on experience with RF test and measurement equipment: spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of transmitter PA technologies, receiver performance metrics (noise figure, IM) and harmonic suppression techniques.
  • Ability to perform system-level RF calculations and translate requirements into circuit implementations.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with sensor interfaces and mixed-signal integration.
  • Lab prototyping and soldering experience.

Education Requirements

Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. No specific fields of study were listed; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
