Memory Controller IP Performance Architect

Role Summary

Arm is seeking an experienced architect for SoC systems focused on IP and system performance modeling and analysis. You will collaborate with a team of performance engineers to develop high-performance interconnect and memory controller IPs, optimize AI across various applications, and produce models for partner usage.

Experience Level

Senior Level position, requiring significant experience in system performance modeling.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and analyzing Memory Controller IP and system models.
  • Optimizing power and performance features based on system-level analysis and workloads.
  • Creating methodologies for new workloads and usages through simulation and emulation.
  • Conducting system-level analysis to identify bottlenecks and improve micro-architecture.
  • Collaborating with various business units for modeling and guidance.
  • Mentoring team members.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong experience in memory/interconnect performance modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with Perl or Python.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to learning.

Desired qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SystemC Transaction Level Modeling and interconnect micro-architecture design.
  • Experience with performance tools and methodologies for large systems.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
