Job Title

Member of Technical Staff, Analog Design Engineering

Role Summary

Join Micron’s DRAM IP Design team to design, optimize, and verify block-level analog and mixed-signal circuits used in DRAM products. Work spans schematic design, modeling, post-layout simulation, silicon correlation, and collaboration with global design and product teams.

The role contributes to product performance, reliability, and yield through circuit innovation, verification improvements, and mentoring junior designers.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum of 12+ years of semiconductor design experience as stated in the job qualifications.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include circuit design, verification, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Design, optimize, and verify block-level analog and mixed-signal circuits for DRAM projects.
  • Propose, evaluate, and implement new or improved circuit topologies to improve performance, power, area, and cost (PPAC).
  • Expand design verification scope and coverage to improve robustness and production yield.
  • Provide layout guidance and perform post-layout simulation in partnership with global design groups.
  • Compare silicon performance with simulation results and support correlation and debug activities.
  • Mentor and coach junior circuit designers and operate with minimal supervision to define solutions independently.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience (degree details are listed under Education Requirements).

  • Solid analog circuit design fundamentals and experience designing blocks such as regulators, charge pumps, oscillators, current references, bandgaps, and comparators.
  • Proficiency with SPICE and Verilog modeling and simulation for analog/mixed-signal circuits.
  • Ability to supervise physical layout work for analog circuits and provide layout-related guidance.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior DRAM circuit design experience and 5+ years of circuit debugging with cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of device physics and CMOS process technologies.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching experience for junior engineers.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of semiconductor design experience. Preferred: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years, or BSEE with 15+ years of mixed-signal or analog IC design experience. Fields referenced include Electrical Engineering and mixed-signal/analog IC design.
