Role Summary

The role involves leading the development of advanced memory diagnostic methodologies and tools for next-generation SoCs, focusing on DRAM testing, failure analysis, and AI/ML-based pattern recognition to enhance memory yield and reliability in high-volume manufacturing.

Experience Level

Senior level, with a preference for candidates having 8+ years of relevant experience in memory diagnostics and DRAM testing.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and enhance memory diagnostic methodologies including DRAM-specific diagnostics.
  • Define and develop memory test and repair algorithms.
  • Analyze failing memory locations and failure signatures to support yield improvement.
  • Design and implement AI/ML-based pattern recognition tools for advanced bitmapping.
  • Collaborate with various teams to correlate diagnostics with silicon behavior.
  • Drive innovation in diagnostic algorithms for future technology nodes and memory architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of work experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD with 2+ years.
  • Experience in developing diagnostic tools for emerging memory technologies.
  • Exposure to data analytics platforms for large-scale failure analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, Perl, and TCL.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of experience in memory diagnostics and DRAM test.
  • Deep understanding of fault isolation, fault models, and memory test algorithms.
  • Experience with AI/ML techniques applied to pattern recognition.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Education Requirements

Expected education background includes a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
