Manufacturing Test Engineer - ICT

Role Summary

The Manufacturing Test Engineer (ICT) maintains and optimizes in-circuit test (ICT) fixtures and programs for production, troubleshoots test failures, and supports new product introduction (NPI) and project handovers with contract manufacturers (CM).

This role works with cross-functional teams to improve ICT test yield, capacity, and fixture reliability for PCB and system-level testing.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests 5+ years of experience in ICT programming and fixture debugging.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and improving ICT test processes in production.

  • Identify and resolve ICT fixture problems on the production line.
  • Maintain and optimize ICT test programs regularly for yield and performance.
  • Analyze production defects and troubleshoot ICT test failures.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and perform project handovers to CM.
  • Monitor the operating status of CM ICT test fixtures and equipment.
  • Track ICT test yield rates and production testing capacity; recommend improvements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required for the role.

  • 5+ years of experience in ICT programming and fixture debugging.
  • Experience with TRI and Teradyne ICT machines and related software.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits and circuit analysis capability.
  • Experience with PCBA power-on testing and Boundary Scan testing processes.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills; self-driven and motivated.

Preferred / nice-to-have:

  • Proactive, able to independently diagnose and fix ICT and fixture issues.
  • Experience optimizing test programs for higher yield and efficiency.
  • Experienced in NPI ICT support and familiar with quality standards.

Education Requirements
