Job Title

Manufacturing Test Engineer, GPU

Role Summary

Support the development and ramp to mass production of NVIDIA board-level GPU and Tesla-PCIe products. Work with internal engineering teams and contract manufacturing (CM) sites to define validation plans, build and maintain test infrastructure, and optimize manufacturing test flows.

Responsible for test methodology, automation of test configurations, diagnosing board-level issues, and improving manufacturability and test capacity across multiple manufacturing sites.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test and test infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

The role combines hands-on test engineering, cross-functional coordination, and test infrastructure automation to enable product validation and production ramp.

  • Collaborate with NVIDIA teams and CM factories to implement and maintain test infrastructure and manufacturing flows.
  • Support roadmap execution and rapid ramp-up of test capacity and infrastructure across multiple CM sites.
  • Define and improve board manufacturing and test processes for NPI and mass production.
  • Design, develop, and implement cost-effective test and troubleshooting methods for board-level products.
  • Diagnose and analyze board-level test failures with hardware, software, and operations teams; provide feedback on debug tools.
  • Follow up on test setup and troubleshooting at CM sites, including diagnostic packages and documentation.
  • Develop tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test execution, and results analysis.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and work behaviors; items listed as "Nice-to-have" are additional advantages.

  • Must-have: Hands-on experience in manufacturing test and test infrastructure development; familiarity with GPU and data-center platform test software.
  • Must-have: Deep knowledge of low-level software drivers and kernel internals.
  • Must-have: Board/system-level debugging skills and experience using probing hardware.
  • Must-have: Strong written and oral English communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; able to work across local and overseas teams and drive projects with minimal supervision.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of board and data-center manufacturing processes and system testing.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with x86 assembly, PC architecture, and power management.
  • Nice-to-have: Scripting and programming experience (Shell, Java, Perl, Python) and familiarity with multiple OS environments (Windows, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience developing test programs, failure analysis, and running system-level diagnostics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automatic Control, Systems Engineering.
