Job Title

Manufacturing Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on the TSG manufacturing test team supporting embedded and automotive board and system-level testing for NVIDIA products. Partner with firmware, software, hardware, operations, and contract manufacturers to develop test automation, diagnostics, equipment qualification, and test tooling for production.

Focus areas include test automation, LPU & GPU diagnosis, equipment qualification, and applying data/AI techniques to improve manufacturing test efficiency.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires approximately 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include implementing and maintaining manufacturing test solutions and supporting diagnostics in production environments.

  • Design tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test execution, and results analysis.
  • Diagnose LPU & GPU test failures at board and system level; investigate issues with hardware, software, and operations teams.
  • Qualify equipment, fixtures, and tooling for manufacturing use.
  • Develop data automation and test tools with contract manufacturers to realize embedded/automotive product test automation.
  • Work with software teams to develop and refine embedded product debug tools.
  • Follow up on ICT/FCT test setups, diagnostics packages, and related documentation with contract manufacturers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and workplace abilities.

  • Board-level debugging experience and use of probing hardware and lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter).
  • Deep knowledge of low-level software drivers and kernel internals.
  • Ability to collaborate across hardware, software, and operations teams; self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience programming/debugging MCUs and FPGAs.
  • Experience with x86 assembly, PC architecture, and power management.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming in VB, shell, Java, Perl, or Python.
  • Experience with test plan development, failure analysis, test program development, and system-level diagnostic testing.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automatic Control, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
