Role Summary
Lead a software engineering team responsible for KLA's Optical Metrology Division (OMD) product software. Deliver high-quality, scalable software, drive architectural improvements, and coordinate with product management and cross-functional teams to meet product timelines.

Responsibilities
The manager is expected to provide technical leadership, people management, and program execution for OMD software products.
- Manage and mentor a team of software engineers; plan and track delivery to meet product timelines and quality targets.
- Acquire and maintain deep technical knowledge of OMD product software and key optical metrology use cases.
- Design and improve software architecture and detailed designs for scalability and maintainability.
- Ensure code quality through robust unit tests and development best practices.
- Estimate technical work, create project plans, and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks in collaboration with the Product Manager.
- Analyze complex problems and provide practical, implementation-ready solutions.
- Propose and drive process improvements in the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and attributes.
- Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years managing software teams or products.
- Strong programming fundamentals and object-oriented design.
- Proficient in C++ and related Windows technologies: VC++, MFC, COM.
- Experience architecting systems from scratch, and hands-on experience in analysis, design, development, and unit testing.
- Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and team-motivational skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, including Israel and the United States, on short assignments.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with STL, WinDBG, and Windows internals.
- Domain knowledge of semiconductor metrology or related equipment/software.
Education Requirements
Required: BE / BS / BTech in a relevant engineering discipline (explicitly listed). No alternative-equivalent degree language specified.
