LPDDR Product Architect

Role Summary

Design and define LPDDR-based DRAM products and module architectures for AI inference at the edge. Partner with customers, researchers, and internal hardware and system teams to identify system bottlenecks and translate system-level requirements into memory features and product direction.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires 12+ years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver system-aware memory solutions and lead technical exploration for LPDDR products.

  • Analyze system architectures using modeling, simulation, and prototyping tools.
  • Identify system bottlenecks with customers and propose memory-based solutions.
  • Lead pathfinding and architecture definition for LPDDR-based modules.
  • Define memory features that improve DRAM performance for AI workloads.
  • Collaborate with SoC/ASIC, PHY, controller, and system teams to align product requirements.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and architects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • 12+ years of engineering experience in memory, systems, or related fields.
  • Proven experience with LPDDR and/or DRAM module architectures.
  • Understanding of memory hierarchy, memory controllers, PHY, and SoC/ASIC integration.
  • Experience using modeling, simulation, and prototyping to evaluate system performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers to identify requirements and resolve system-level issues.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience for engineering teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of memory subsystems in high-performance computing.
  • Experience with TSV, stacked or 3D packaging technologies.
  • Hardware/software co-optimization or exposure to AI frameworks.
  • Participation in JEDEC or similar industry standards groups.
  • Japanese and English language proficiency.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required (specified in minimum qualifications).
