LPDDR DRAM MH BE Product Engineer

Role Summary

Product engineering role focused on LPDDR DRAM for mobile, automotive, and data center applications. Responsible for validating electrical performance, supporting NPI and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) ramps, and driving yield and quality improvements.

The role requires cross-site collaboration with circuit design, fab process, test, manufacturing, and product teams across Taiwan, Japan, and the US.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include validation, failure analysis, and production support across NPI and HVM phases:

• Develop and maintain test flows to ensure specification compliance and improve yield throughout NPI and HVM.
• Perform failure analysis using data mining, tester analysis, and silicon characterization.
• Validate circuit functionality and electrical performance across operating conditions (power, timing margin, IDD, training behaviors).
• Drive and implement root-cause fixes with Circuit Design and Fab Process teams.
• Support NPI activities: bring-up, characterization, and cross-site handover.
• Support yield ramp and containment during early production phases.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, QA, process integration, application engineering, and test solutions teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behaviors; nice-to-have items are listed separately.

• Must-have: Hands-on electrical testing experience using ATE platforms.
• Must-have: Solid electrical engineering fundamentals and experience with failure analysis and yield/data mining.
• Must-have: Ability to validate circuit functionality and troubleshoot electrical/qualification issues during NPI.
• Must-have: Strong problem-solving, independent project ownership, and clear technical communication.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with LPDDR architecture and JEDEC specifications.
• Nice-to-have: Experience automating test data analysis or scripting to accelerate debugging.
• Nice-to-have: Japanese language capability.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Desired: background in VLSI, semiconductor physics, or nanotechnology. (No equivalent-experience language reported.)
