Local Product Engineer

Role Summary

Based at the contract manufacturer (CM) factory in Bac Ninh, Vietnam, this role provides on-site production test support and is the focal point for production testing issues.

Assigned to the Production Support team within NVIDIA's Networking Silicon Engineering group to monitor production status, debug test failures, train CM staff on tests, and support NPI yield analysis.

Experience Level

Mid-level — minimum 5 years of relevant experience in failure analysis, hardware diagnostics, or electrical engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include on-site test support, failure analysis, and yield monitoring.

• Work on-site at the factory in Bac Ninh, Vietnam and provide tier-1 test support.
• Validate tests, maintain test infrastructure, set up stations, and troubleshoot test stations.
• Introduce and train CM engineering teams on new tests and test procedures.
• Conduct test debugging and failure analysis to identify root causes.
• Monitor NPI project yields and analyze top failure modes; report findings to production and design teams.
• Coordinate with production and engineering groups on hardware diagnostics and repair actions.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on failure analysis using tools such as DVM, TDR, oscilloscope, etc.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for electronic products.
• Experience in hardware diagnostics, repair, or board design.
• Proficient English speaking and writing.

Nice-to-have:

• ICT / JTAG skills.
• Familiarity with functional test systems.
• Experience with Linux, Perl, and Python.
• Experience with reliability testing such as Burn-in and HASS.

Education Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience in factory failure analysis or electrical engineering roles.
