Lead SoC Architect

Role Overview

As a Lead SoC Architect at Synopsys, you will be at the forefront of innovation in chip design. Your expertise in ASIC/SoC design flows and silicon bring-up will drive the technical strategy and mentoring of engineering teams in various projects.

Position Summary

In this role, you will lead the architectural development of SoC Solutions, including integrating chiplet and high-performance computing elements. You will tackle design and integration challenges while facilitating post-silicon validation.

Experience Level

This position is targeted at seasoned professionals with over 15 years of experience in SoC design or applications who possess proven expertise in tape-outs and silicon bring-up.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading technical strategy and mentoring engineering teams.
• Architecting SoC Solutions and supporting IP integration in customer designs.
• Addressing design and debug issues during integration and tape-out.
• Driving the post-silicon validation and bring-up processes.
• Generating technical collateral and training materials.
• Collaborating with R&D to enhance new IP and influence product direction.

Prerequisites

The following qualifications are required for this role:

• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in SoC design or applications.
• Proven track record in tape-out and silicon bring-up.
• In-depth knowledge of protocols and EDA tools.
• Experience in leadership and direct customer engagement.

Education Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is mandatory.
