Lead RTL Design Engineer

Role Summary

As a Lead RTL Design Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, you will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge ASIC technologies. This position requires a proactive and innovative mindset, as you will lead the design and verification efforts to ensure the highest quality in AMD's silicon products.

Experience Level

This role is designed for professionals with experience in the semiconductor industry, requiring a minimum of 6 years in the field with a deep understanding of ASIC design and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RTL design and verification process for complex ASIC projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different locations to enhance product functionality and reliability.
• Utilize modern design tools and methodologies to optimize designs for performance and power consumption.
• Implement and drive continuous improvements in design processes and tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• B.E/M.E/M.Tech or B.S/M.S in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in ASIC design, preferably with sub-20nm technology nodes.
• Proficiency in digital design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with circuit timing analysis (STA) using tools like PrimeTime.
• Knowledge of low-power design techniques and analysis.
• Familiarity with SoC tools such as Spyglass, Questa CDC, Cadence Conformal, and VCS simulation.
• Programming skills in C, TCL, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in distributed teams.

Education Requirements

Applicants must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with advanced degrees preferred.
