Job Title

Lead RF Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Lead RF Validation Engineer on the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) validation team in Bangalore. Responsible for defining RF validation strategy, developing test automation and infrastructure, executing post-silicon RF measurements, and ensuring product readiness.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 8 years of hands-on RF validation/testing experience in post-silicon environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute RF validation from planning through reporting and release verification.

  • Design RF validation strategies and detailed test plans covering functional and performance requirements.
  • Develop, execute, and automate validation tests to characterize RF performance metrics (Tx/Rx KPIs, system-level behavior).
  • Define and maintain scalable test methodologies, frameworks, and automation infrastructure for repeatable validation.
  • Perform hands-on RF measurements using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Analyze measurement data, interpret results against specifications, and produce clear, data-driven validation reports.
  • Lead test-result reviews with stakeholders; highlight risks, deviations, and recommended improvements.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and debug RF and firmware issues with system, modem, and development teams until closure.

  • Proven experience in developing test automation for RF validation setups.
  • Strong foundation in RF fundamentals, wireless communication systems, and signal processing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with instrument control and automation using USB/LAN and protocols such as SCPI/VISA.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python or MATLAB) for test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams (RF, firmware, systems, product management).
  • Nice-to-have: experience with UWB technologies and system-level validation approaches.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
