Job Title
Lead Product Engineer - Genus & Innovus
Role Summary
Lead Product Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining Genus-to-Innovus digital implementation reference flows to support foundry design service teams. The role focuses on RTL synthesis, floorplanning, placement, clock-tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and physical optimization to enable production SoC designs and tapeout readiness.
Work closely with design service teams to diagnose convergence issues and enable reusable, standardized implementation flows across multiple foundry programs.
Experience Level
Senior / Lead level. Years of experience not specified in the posting.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include enabling and supporting digital implementation flows across synthesis and physical implementation stages for advanced-node SoC designs.
- Develop and maintain Genus-to-Innovus implementation reference flows for foundry design service teams.
- Support RTL synthesis, floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and physical optimization for production SoC designs.
- Provide methodology guidance on timing closure, congestion mitigation, and power-aware implementation at advanced nodes.
- Support hierarchical and block-based implementation flows used in design services and multi-project environments.
- Diagnose and resolve convergence issues affecting timing, power, area, and routability in late design stages.
- Enable reusable, standardized implementation flows across multiple foundry programs and assist with ECO implementation and tapeout readiness.
Requirements
Key technical expectations and preferred skills. Must-have items are listed first.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with RTL synthesis and physical implementation flows (Genus and Innovus or equivalent), including timing closure and congestion mitigation for advanced nodes.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with constraint handling (SDC) and power intent (UPF) integration across synthesis and implementation stages.
-
Must-have: Experience addressing power-aware implementation, low-power optimization, and power domain integration.
-
Must-have: Ability to integrate implementation flows with signoff tools (examples: Tempus, Quantus, Voltus, Pegasus) and assist with ECO and late-stage timing closure.
-
Nice-to-have: Prior foundry design service experience, multi-project or hierarchical flow experience, and knowledge of advanced-node challenges (multi-patterning-aware placement, CTS robustness).
-
Nice-to-have: Scripting or automation experience to enable reusable flows and methodology standardization.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
