Experience Level
Senior-level position; requires at least 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with Electronic Design Automation (EDA).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, implementation, and technical leadership of low-power RTL-to-GDSII solutions:
- Design, develop, and maintain core RTL-to-GDSII modules focused on low-power implementation and optimization.
- Lead architecture and implementation of Place and Route components to ensure scalability and performance.
- Develop and optimize algorithms and data structures for efficient design automation workflows.
- Mentor and guide software engineers; promote code quality, best practices, and technical standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
Requirements
Required technical skills and experience:
- At least 5 years of strong hands-on software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ with proven expertise in algorithm design and data structures.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to architect complex solutions.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams on technical projects.
- Understanding of RTL, gate-level netlists, and digital design concepts.
- Experience in EDA is highly desirable.
Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Knowledge of low-power design methodologies (UPF).
- Experience with Verilog, VHDL, or other hardware description languages.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Tcl for automation.
- Background in Place and Route algorithms or physical design automation.
Education Requirements
