Lead IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Lead IP Verification Engineer will focus on verifying new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, ensuring high-quality, bug-free designs. The role demands strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective problem-solving skills.

Experience Level

Suitable for candidates with over 8 years of experience in digital design and verification within an ASIC context, preferably in a leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to define verification requirements.
• Develop detailed test plans documenting feature interactions.
• Estimate timelines for writing and modifying test cases.
• Create directed and random verification tests.
• Troubleshoot test failures and collaborate with team members to resolve root causes.
• Analyze functional and code coverage metrics, adjusting tests as necessary.

Requirements

• Expertise in IP-level ASIC verification and experience debugging RTL and firmware.
• Proficient in Verilog, System Verilog, C, C++, and UVM testbenches.
• Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating environments.
• Understanding of graphics pipeline architecture and multimedia solutions.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, Makefile, and shell.
• Exposure to leadership and mentorship roles is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
