Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled verification engineer to join the GFX Verification team at AMD, focusing on GPU verification responsibilities. The role requires meeting the evolving demands of project schedules while actively collaborating with architects and design teams.

Experience Level

This position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in ASIC verification.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Lead GPU Verification Engineer include:

  • Collaborating with lead architects and block design teams to understand features for implementation and verification.
  • Developing comprehensive test plans for synthetic testing and real workload traces.
  • Debugging verification test failures and working with the design team to identify and address defects.
  • Ensuring that AMD's next-generation GFXIP meets performance, power, and functional expectations.

Requirements

The candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in ASIC verification.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and System Verilog programming languages.
  • Experience with C/C++ programming, familiar with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ASIC design and debugging Verilog RTL code with simulation/emulation tools.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Perl and Python.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills in English (hearing, speaking, reading, writing).
  • Experience with graphics pipelines and a solid understanding of computer architecture is preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently drive tasks to completion and work well in a team environment.

Education Requirements

B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech degree in ECE, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with a major in Digital Systems/VLSI is required.
