Role Summary
The role of Lead GPU Verification Engineer entails responsibility for the verification of GPU projects within the GFX Verification team at Advanced Micro Devices. The successful candidate will engage in verification efforts that align with the fast-paced and ever-changing project schedules, utilizing creativity and independence alongside teamwork.

This position is intended for individuals with a comprehensive background in ASIC verification, requiring a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Lead GPU Verification Engineer include:
- Collaborating with lead architects and block design teams to comprehend and verify features.
- Creating detailed test plans for synthetic testing and real workload traces.
- Investigating verification test failures and accurately identifying defects with the design team.
- Ensuring that the next generation of GFXIP meets expected performance, power, and functionality requirements.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ASIC verification.
- Proficient in Verilog and System Verilog languages.
- Strong skills in C/C++ programming, with experience in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Solid understanding of ASIC design, verification methodologies, and the capability to debug Verilog RTL code using simulation and emulation tools.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
- Ability to work within a team and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with graphics pipelines and computer architecture is preferred.
- Self-starter capable of independently driving tasks to completion.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Digital Systems or VLSI is required, alongside 8+ years of relevant experience.
