Role Summary

Responsibilities

You will be tasked with:

  • Developing Python scripts to generate semiconductor mask layouts and expanding the layouting repository.
  • Supporting the transition of design tools from academic prototypes to production-ready software.
  • Implementing new layout components and features.
  • Containerizing workflows.
  • Contributing to the design automation pipeline.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong Python development skills; knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus.
  • Experience with Git, ideally in a collaborative environment (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
  • Comfortability with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Ability to debug and write clean, maintainable code (e.g., PEP 8, linting).
  • A basic understanding of software testing concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured working style.
  • A curious mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
