Role Summary

The Layout Engineer will collaborate with Design, CAD, and Layout Management teams to develop Mixed-Signal and Analog Integrated Circuits. This role requires an independent and professional approach to layout engineering.

Experience Level

Entry-level, suitable for new graduates with relevant educational background.

Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for several key functions including:

  • Layout schedule estimation.
  • Device placement on block level per matching requirements.
  • Block implementations on top level.
  • Signal matching and shielding techniques for sensitive nets.
  • Pad, ESD rule, routing, and connection management.
  • Database DRC and LVS verifications.
  • Chip tapeout following company procedures.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Layout experience in Analog and/or Mixed-Signal circuit design.
  • Ability to create chip plans and estimate die size and project schedules.
  • Capability to resolve DRC and LVS data verification, and independently tape out chips.
  • Familiarity with analog process fundamentals.
  • Experience with Cadence and/or VIRTUOSO tools is preferable.
